Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily bakery operations and production schedules.
- Prepare and bake a variety of items, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
- Innovate and test new recipes to expand the menu.
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation standards for all baked goods.
- Manage inventory levels and order necessary baking supplies.
- Train and oversee bakery staff members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Control food costs and implement waste reduction strategies.
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head Baker or in a similar role.
- Has proven experience working in a French Patisserie or Boulangerie
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Creative and innovative mindset for developing new recipes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment.
- Ability to lift heavy bags of flour and other baking supplies.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in using baking equipment and tools.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and scheduling.
- Formal training or certification in baking is a plus.
- Passion for baking and a positive attitude.
- Must be willing to work during mall hours within Metro Manila.
