Head Baker

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise daily bakery operations and production schedules.
    • Prepare and bake a variety of items, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
    • Innovate and test new recipes to expand the menu.
    • Ensure consistent quality and presentation standards for all baked goods.
    • Manage inventory levels and order necessary baking supplies.
    • Train and oversee bakery staff members.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
    • Control food costs and implement waste reduction strategies.
    • Comply with health and safety regulations.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a Head Baker or in a similar role.
    • Has proven experience working in a French Patisserie or Boulangerie
    • In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Creative and innovative mindset for developing new recipes.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment.
    • Ability to lift heavy bags of flour and other baking supplies.
    • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Proficiency in using baking equipment and tools.
    • Basic computer skills for inventory management and scheduling.
    • Formal training or certification in baking is a plus.
    • Passion for baking and a positive attitude.
    • Must be willing to work during mall hours within Metro Manila.
